Light Measurement Instruments: Light Meters and Light Meter Probes
If you measure light in the deep uv, uv, visible, and near infrared spectrums, G& R Labs has a cost-effective solution to meet your light measurement needs. As light measurement instrument manufacturers with a thorough understanding of their customers’ light measurement applications, G&R Labs offers a wide variety of light meters and light meter probes designed to meet any challenge. To ensure uniform quality meters, all light meters and light meter probes are manufactured to ISO 9001-2008 certification.
Use Multiple Light Meter Probes with the Same Meter
As an added cost-saving advantage, G& R Lab’s light meters are designed to use multiple light meter probes, allowing you to use the same light meter in a variety of light measurement applications.
Light Meters and Light Meter Probes Retro fits and Trade-ins
G& R Labs gives customers credit for their existing light meter when they trade it in for a new G&R light meter. In many cases, another manufacturer’s light meter probe can be modified to work with a G& R light meter, saving the investment of a new meter probe.
A Wide Range of Light Meters for a Variety of Applications
G&R light meters measure light in the spectrum from 220nm to the near infrared. Depending on their specific light measurement application, customers can choose from a light measurement instrument range that includes:
- Model 400: The top of the line light meter measuring MW/CM2, MJ/CM2, time, and calculating light uniformity in a number of measurement situations, Model 400 is a light measurement instrument with diverse capabilities. A built in computer allows Model 400 to store sensor readings and calculate average values, percent deviations and other data values.
- Model 320: A simplification of Model 400, Model 320 measures MW/CM2, peak MW/CM2, MJ/CM2 (single pulse), accumulated MJ/CM2, time (single pulse), and accumulated seconds.
- Model 202: Model 202 light meter operates from a single 9-volt battery and has a light measurement range from 1.00 MW/CM2 to 19.999 W/CM2 (20MW/CM2) in two scale positions.
- Model 200: This intensity light meter is a single channel version of Model 202, with the same measurement range.
- Model 100: a simplification of Model 200 Intensity Meter, Model 100 has a single measurement scale of either 1999.9 MW/CM2 or 199.99 MW/CM2.
- Photometer: The LM-120 Photometer measures Lux/Footcnadles on a 3 ½ digit (1999 count) LCD Display. The LM120 is auto Ranging from .01 to 199,900 Lux and .01 to 19,990 Footcandles. Calibration is to a +/- 1% standard traceable to NIST with certificate. The Meter comes with case and manual. Selling Price $210.00.
- Solar Meter: G&R Labs has developed a solar meter that measures the sun’s energy in the same spectrum (.3 to 1.1 Microns) as a solar panel.
See our Meter Comparison Sheet for the specific differences between all our light meter models. All G&R Labs’ light meters meet all the requirements of IEC, UL, and CSA.
Multiple Light Meter Probes Interchange with the Same Light Meter
G&R Labs understands the additional expense and inconvenience of having to use different meters—requiring different probes—for each light measurement application. To avoid the unnecessary expense, each G&R light meter uses multiple probes with the same meter, saving you time and money. Light meter probe choices include:
- Probes-Standard: The hockey puck probe is the standard probe used with most G&R light meters.
- Dual Channel Probe: works with the Model 202 or with Model 320 light meters.
- Nikon Probe: works on the Nikon Stepper and usually calibrated to Nikon standard but can be calibrated to NIST.
- Ultratek Probe Design: comes with two built in mounting screws; wavelengths are either 365nm or 420nm.
- Wand/Quartz Rod Probes: used in many UV Curing applications because they can get to the focal point of the light.
G&R Labs designs meter probes for many special applications. If you define the application, our light measurement experts will suggest a probe design to meet your specific light measurement requirements.
With so many options to meet deep uv measurement, uv measurement, visible measurement, and near infrared spectrum requirements, it’s easy to see why G&R Labs is the light measurement instrument manufacturer chosen most often.
